Our History
The St Francis Kasarani Catholic Church Self-Help group was started in 1999 by a couple of members who had the vision to bring church members together for economic empowerment. Over the years, the group has grown beyond its church borders with a membership of over 3500 and a share capital of over 350 million.
The Self Help Group is a registered agent under the Archdiocese of Nairobi Social Promotion Registered Trustees with the mandate of enhancing the economic empowerment of communities within Kasarani and its environs by pooling resources together, providing affordable credit facilities, training, and technical support through efficient and effective member education. The self-help group operates at St. Francis Kasarani Catholic Church, St. Clare Parish.
